In Hesiod’s Theogony there are three elements, Chaos, Gaia and Eros. These three forms are not born from each other. They are self-born and are only temporally distant in the order of their birth. Of the first three gods, only Eros does not bear offspring.
Dedicated to “Eros” who unites and boosts the other forces to create!
(The Theogony is an epic poem by Hesiod that describes, in contrast to the cosmogonies of other Eastern peoples, the origin of the gods of Greek mythology.)
